What Happens To Your Horse Tomorrow, Depends On Your Decision Today !
So after you've read this information and studied these pictures ask yourself, can I alone, Save my horse from dying of Colic if my vet is delayed elsewhere or I can't reach a vet at all !

Then Visualize Tomorrow, waiting for your Vet. if you can find one, as you walk your Defenseless, Frightened & Drug Dazed horse whose pain racked body suffering from a bout of Colic is fighting impacted bowels, dehydation & distention with less than 8 hours, left to live!

Later, if you found one, the Vet arrives but your horse dies after they attempted for the precious few hours your horse had left, to Stop the bout by treating it with muscle relaxants, pain killers, NG Tubing, IV's etc.

Though you think you did everything right to save your horse, did you forget Colic is a Heartless Merciless Killer, Born Out of Nature's Rules, that only the Very Lucky or Strong Survive & the Colic clock is always, ticking down from 8 hours ?

Clients who face the above scenario would pull ECR out of their medical bag to Stop the bout. They know from the moment a bout of colic begins it's important, to get control over it, as quickly as possiable. They tell us by having ECR as an Alternative, to stop the bout on their own, they're not standing there helpless, waiting for a vet to save their horse & that removes their Fear of Colic !

If you choose to believe at this point, ECR as an Alternative, can't do what a vet can do, you'll always be filled with doubts if, you face the above day & your horse dies, that choice, ended your horse's life !
The Journey Begins in the Esophagus but that's not where it becomes Unbelievable !
After food is ingested it passes into through the 4.5' Esophagus & enters the Stomach where it's digested in an area not much larger than a humans, in that it can only contain 8-17 quarts of food or liquid at a time. This is well suited for a horse that continuously grazes but not for one stabeled & fed two or three large meals a day.
Now it enters and begins its journey to become waste feces through the 70', 48 quart Small Intestine which is draped like a pleated curtain of sausage hung from the Mesentery membrane attached, to the middle of the Abdomen.
Then as enters the 4', 28 -32 quart blind ended outpouching Cecum, which is much like our Appendix, it exits as pre processed feces and enters a space that is called the Pelvic Flexure where it must bend 180 degrees to enter the 10-12', 80 quart Coli. After entering the large Coli it makes 149 more flexures through the right & left ventral, dorsal & Transverse Coli all lying at the base of the Abdomen in a U- shaped formation, one U stacked on another. Then it enters the 10-12', 14 quart small colon, passes into the 1' Rectum & exits the Anus as manure.
WOW that journey is filled with Hazardous bends but it's as the food leaves the Cecum and enters the 1st Large Coli bend called the Pelvic Flexure, that the Unbelievable Journey Begins !
It's here Motility must slow down and can even stop !
It's here food must bend it's self 180 degrees to enter the Large
Coli !
It's here that a horse not consuming the right amount of water with
only slightly dehydrated bowels, will lose the electrolyte balance needed to energize the Longitudinal & Circular Muscle Layers lining the Coli wall ! Yes it's here at the Pelvic Flexure that over 75% of all
fatal impactions begin to form and its here that your vets arm can't reach down far enough to defecate them !
EVERYTIME YOUR HORSE EATS imactions can form and your
horse's body has only 8 hours to pass them or it WILL DIE ! Don't be Fooled, Colic is not a PARTICULAR KILLER & will use Sand, Gas or another form of bout, to KILL Them Just as QUICK !
The Unbelievable Journey Food Makes As Your Horse Eats !
